Smoothies aren’t just for fruit. If you are looking to get more greens in your diet and aren’t a big fan of eating salads, green smoothies are the best way to get your daily fruit and vegetable requirement and a ‘green inner glow’.

Green vegetables are the storehouse of amino acids, iron, chlorophyll, vitamins, minerals and fiber. And it’s the antioxidants and phytochemicals in vegetables that leave you feeling energized throughout the day.

By blending greens into a liquid form, you rupture the cell wall, and that unlocks all the vital nutrients for easy absorption and instant energy.

Most people are not accustomed to the taste of chlorophyll and won’t drink it if it tastes too “green”. Fruit can mask the taste of greens and veggies, and by using the purée function, you will mask the green taste almost completely. If it is still too sharp, try adding more fruit.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup coconut water

Supercharge your smoothie with superfood like chia seeds.
