• 1 cup natural yogurt
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 1/4 pounds chicken pieces, skin removed


  1. Place yogurt, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt and lemon juice into the blender jug. Select Blend speed and blend for 20 to 30 seconds or until ingredients are well combined.
  2. Make small cuts over the surface of the chicken pieces to allow the marinade to penetrate. Pour the marinade over the chicken and mix well, cover and refrigerate for a few hours or overnight.
  3. Cook on a barbecue or grill plate until brown all over and chicken is cooked through.
