Memphis is a town with a lot of soul and no one knows that better than Chef Kelly English. He takes us on a tour of his city showing us places including Cozy Corner, where you can taste the history of barbecue, Hog and Hominy, where the chefs blend their Italian roots with modern day Southern soul, and Ernestine and Hazel’s, where Memphis stories are made and told and where, we’re told, there once was an infamous brothel upstairs.
2009 Food & Wine magazine “Best New Chef” Kelly English is executive chef/owner of Restaurant Iris and The Second Line in Memphis. His steadfast approach to contemporary southern cuisine is deeply rooted in his Louisiana upbringing and heavily influenced by his travels around the globe.
