- 1 1/2 cups AP flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon (heaping) salt
- 1/4 cup cold lard or butter, cut
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- Heat a cast iron pan in 375°F oven, pull out and melt 1 tablespoon butter in pan before putting biscuits in to bake.
- Bake at a low 375°F (smack dab between 350 and 375) for 17–20 minutes until done.
